We have seen so many unusual materials and textures during Spring Summer 18 and Autumn Winter 18 men’s collections such as Jil Sander’s unisex mesh shirt, Dries Van Noten‘s works-in-every-outfit-kind mesh vest for layering. But for Men’s Spring Summer 2019, this trend goes to another crazier level with more “unwearable elements” comes to men’s fashion including leading designers at Paris and Milan fashion weeks such as Acne Studio’s transparent PVC shirt, Luis Vuitton PVC jacket and plastic neon bags etc etc etc. Men’s Fashion has finally comes to a time to wash off the dirty name “only wore as utility” in 2018.
During Milan Men’s Fashion Week SS19, I created a group of editorial for Bally with their AW18 pieces. Inspired by Milan Men’s Fashion Week SS19, I picked up some latest trends including the mixing up of different textures and materials – such as shining patent leather and PVC against suede, velvet and other muted textures. I am wearing Bally shining raincoat, Bally chest bag, Bally suede travel bag.
I recently experience the very cute and cozy Square Louvois Hotel Paris, the hotel is within a very busy, cozy and safe area – the 2nd. There are many korean restaurants and grocery stores just around the corner if you are interested! It is super close to the 9th where I spent most my time in Paris, so it is super convenient. Did I mention it is also super close to Louvre? The favourite part why I love the hotel: they have a small gym and swimming area underground, which is quite rare for Paris hotels. The hotel is a luxury boutique hotel, the restaurant during the day is super quiet, so it is also a perfect spot to avoid the’ crowds at Starbucks.
