He’s crazy, he’s young, he’s beautiful, he’s breaking the rules.
He’s idealistic, he’s a actor, he’s a deisnger.
He made Susie Lau and Alexa Chung fall,
he is changing the entire generation for separating men and women’s collections .
Famous for “lines-blurring” of gender in each of his collections, Jonathan William Anderson aka J.W. Anderson, has caught our eyes for each of his boundary-defiant movements.
He’s been interested in finding out the chemistry between boy and girl, boy and boy, girl and girl. if pulling out one of his collections to show to a outsider, can they really clarify the blurred lines ?
Anderson has always been a fan playing abstract patterns, architechural prints and fun materials. Even though the strong expression and aggressive shapes of Anderson’s collections, he’s not forgetting to combine coziness and fine textures into each of his garments.
Provoking yet wearable and functional,
Blurring defined yet strong characters,
that’s whose designs I am talking about, that’s J.W. Anderson’s.
These window-panes-looked thick cable knits are one of my favourite: unisexual, boy-girls, yet functional with luxury textures for coping with London’s winters.
