During my trip to Indonesia with The Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia, I experienced Belmond Jimbaran Puri beach resort Bali, The hotel serves extraordinary beach front seafood dinners, the best seafood I have ever had in my life! Make sure you reserve yours as early as possible, as they are very hard to book during busy seasons. Something else great about the resort? It is so close to the airport yet extremely quiet during anytime of the day, perfect for whole day relaxation and beaching around.

It’s a happy clash between up-market hotel suite and homely B and B bedroom, where contemporary chic meets the Renaissance and the definition of Hobart.
There is something about the Islington Hotel that makes us want to stay in, by the fire, with a tea cup in hand, for the rest of winter. It’s so deliciously homely we’re resisting every temptation to move in permanently. Is it the deep mauve colour palette, the strategically available chess board, the sense of complete privacy, the careful play on light or the relationship between in and out door – we don’t know and it doesn’t really matter because the love affair is already well evolved.
A palette of 50 shades of grey, clever use of moody shadows and a love affair with leather is hardly a combination that screams ‘artist in house’. But somehow there is plenty of art going on in house at Art Series Hotel and it all works perfectly to create the ultimate palette for luxury. It’s the interior design, perfectly executed aesthetic and location that makes the Art Series Hotel really pop among its peers.
Nestled deep in the pulse of Bendigo’s art heart, the hotel relies as much on the in-house design as the city’s design. They resonate with each other through street-scape grunge meets modern luxury for the ultimate combination of contemporary minimalism.
Bendigo Art Gallery is a refreshing nod to traditional works but with the classic Bendigo-modern twist the city is known for. Bendigo Art Gallery was home to Maticevski’s Dark Wonderland exhibition earlier this year (among many others in years gone by), a contemporary Australian fashion design encapsulated perfectly by the Art Series Hotel. It was the city’s and the gallery’s enthusiasm for contemporary works that makes the Art Series Hotel right at home in Bendigo.
Beyond the expected art forms, Bendigo is also home a plethora of antique shops worth exploring. Think pre-loved art and furniture, vintage fashion finds and the odd hidden gem, if an easel isn’t within your souvenir budget, something antique will be. Days can be spent getting lost beyond the buzzing streets in absolute wonderlands of treasures with a back story.
The Art Series Hotel is one of the many products of Bendigo’s art fever combined with clever use of artistic passion and design. It’s minimalist but so luxurious at the same time and makes one feel as though they have just stepped into the art studio of the world’s leading artists. The relationship between calm and chaos, shadows and light and texture and colour creates a very happy medium that gels perfectly with Bendigo’s aesthetic.

I’ve been to Sydney plenty of times but my las trip was different – I stayed at InterContinental Sydney.
There are so many hotels to choose from, bosting roof-top pools, spas, honeymoon deluxe suites and everything in between but InterContinental Sydney is rejecting the hotel cookie cutter mold. So what makes it at the top of our destination list?
A truly memorable stay with InterContinental Sydney, with exclusive benefits and uninterrupted views over Sydney Harbour including the Harbour Bridge, Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay, are the perks of the city’s most elusive and coveted club.
We’re joking. It’s as easily accessible as upgrading to the Club Room. No secret passwords needed here. Another kind of club you’re going to want to get in on is the Supper Club. It involves 27 champagnes ranging from Taittinger to Duval, Leroy to Ruinart. Read on for details.
After living in Sydney for three years and travelling to Sydney on a regular basis ever since, I can’t believe I only recently discovered this breakfast hotspot and business lounge. Now you will see me every time when I am down town!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It helps to set the mood of your day. Imagine you are finally in Sydney for a night or two and get to meet your date or whatever, where to bring her/him to that very first impressive breakfast spot though? You gonna have to write me a Thank-you-letter or a big cheque if you really think below is a great idea. (Email me for my bank details for easy direct deposit, wink wink)
