STABLE HANDS COFFEE – FREMANTLE

The new venture from brothers Phillip and Anthony Arnold collaborated with currently all female design and architecture studio AJCD, with adventurous head chef Maya Hope, the menu here at Stable Hands are for the open minded ones. Jiawa and I tried a few new things for the first time:

black rice pudding with infused rhubarb, quandong compote and boab yoghurt
pork belly hot cakes with compressed melon, smoked ricotta and yuzu caramel
house smoked chicken, with white anchovy, chard lettuce, lemon aspen, lardo, parmesan, garlic ash
caramelised grapefruit, with bush dukka crushed avocado, ancient grain granola

CHECKING IN AT ELEMENTS OF BYRON RESORT AND SPA

Jiawa and I had a great time at Elements of Byron Resort, starting from their restaurant at our checking-in. A seasonal, organic, local styled and healthy oriented breakfast menu plus you can choose to enjoy your meal from either sitting at their newly designed restaurant, looking out their stunning infinity pool, warming up next to their fire pit or checking out closely to the fire oven. When you are enjoying your meals here, dont forget to really check out and feel this place: Every aspect of the resort has been informed by the location and landscape. The main pavilion follows an organic and feminine form – low impact, single story, blurring the lines between interior and exterior spaces. In this way, it mimics the forces of nature; there are no harsh lines, every built form feels responsive to the elements – hugging a central space, or leading to new discoveries.

Melbourne Day 1 with Jiawa, we visited Macha Mylkbar in St.Kilda, which is only minutes walk from famous Luna Park and St.Kilda beach. Matcha Mylkbar is a cafe with ingredients all plant based, even their coffee is made with almond milk. Make sure you go check it out.

Complains from healthy food addicts including always say no to eat-out as our trust-issues with random cafes’ ingredients and material source;

secondly few healthy cafes in our suburbs serving the needs in rush hours with a efficient making procedure. But thanks to Hale & Hearty Cafe from waterloo, this problem seems like solved for people who live near by, and I believe they will open a few very soon since this is exactly what we need – healthy, tasty and speedy meal for city people. Don’t worry if you are not a healthy-food lover, a bite on their veggie burger will have you looking for jaws on the cafe floor.
