I had a full experience of Bangkok while staying at the Peninsula Hotel, it is not just a place to sleep, but a place takes you everywhere you suppose to go.
First thing in the moring, we were taken to a secret location via the Peninsula ferry for a sunrise yoga. On arrival, we realise it is a beautiful temple sitting on the river. It can’t be more perfect than this! Bathing in in the sunrise for a meditation and yoga, we are so ready for a day in Bangkok with all the excitement to come!
After a nice workout, Peninsula guests were brought back to the hotel via the ferry. 7 o’clock in the morning – we witness how Bangkok goes alive right from the river. People are waiting for the public ferries to work, different kinds of boats come and go, Bangkok is ready to shine.
Back to the Peninsula Bangkok, we see the art of Thai food (and many other kinds of food) presented in front of us. The tough part is how to decide which one we are going to try first.
There are so many things to do without stepping out if the Peninsula hotel. We first hit the outdoor swimming pool to chill, the long swimming pool comes with a sensational Bangkok view, we can relax inside the water and watch the boats passing by. Then we had our Thai cooking class and Thai boxing class. Before the Thai cooking class, we were brought to the Peninsula herbal garden, where fresh Thai herbs were grown and ready to be picked for our cooking classes. Then we had intense fun during the Thai boxing class.
During sunset, we were taken on the ferry again for a evening drink on the water.
There are lots of people asking me which city is my favourite in Asia. Bangkok is always one of first comes into my mind. This big city has too much to offer. People here are super friendly, the public transportation are well developed, most people here can speak English, and many many other reasons. I can’t wait to come back to this city who never goes to sleep. Thank you Peninsula for letting me get to know Bangkok.
