Florence had always been my favourite city in Italy. Visited Cinque Terre, Florence and Milan in the past, I
have always considered Florence to be the most romantic and mysterious city in all of Italy,
but my recent, first visit to Rome has absolutely changed my mind!
Rome is a city full of surprises – washed out buildings with rich textures, colours and paints illustrate the abundance of history in this city. Narrow lane ways, and mopeds tightly parked one after another, with small-scale markets dotted throughout the famous cobbled streets bring the city to life. Just exploring the endless back streets will leave you captivated by Rome.
There is little need to visit the bigger tourist attractions we all know this city is famous for, to truly experience Rome at its best and most authentic.
We stayed at Hotel Eden Rome, which provided the perfect backdrop to the city, with views of St. Peters and beyond the eternal city. The Eden truly rivals the opulence that is felt throughout the historic city of Rome. Located right in the heart of the city, the hotel is perfectly positioned for a weekend stay, close to many attractions, yet the surrounding area is still quiet and relaxing. The Spanish steps are only a 9 minutes romantic-walk distance from the hotel. A stay here would be the perfect chance to relax and recharge in this amazing city.

We travelled all over Rome with Rome public transportation – tram, metro and buses. They are super modern and convenient, though we had some trouble finding shops selling bus tickets.
There are countless narrow streets and ancient buildings everywhere. It was interesting to see how the paints and colours blend with each other, some paints are new, others are faded.

In and Out the Hotel Eden, it is a heaven of textures, colours and patterns. The Roman style architecture, stone buildings and sculptures, the pastel yellow and pink colours all add to the hotels beauty.
At Hotel Eden Rome, it is not only the bigger, ‘shinier’ attractions, but the
smaller, unique details, such as a very personal welcome gift the guests receive in their room upon check-in.
Have you ever been asked about your hobbies, interests or preferences from hotel questionnaires and never understood why? Well at Hotel Eden they definitely utilise this information to make their guests feel special. We noticed countless efforts that were made by the Eden team, to make our stay memorable, such as a beautiful my-hobby-related book as a very perfect welcoming gift, fresh flowers, and personalised greetings card.
Extra touches were noticed throughout the Eden, ready-to-use headphones at their convenient fitness centre; the not-not-so-hard-to-offer-varieties at breakfast yet -many-other-hotels-failed ingredients, such seasonal fruit including mango, raspberry and cherry. Yes I mean mango, I actually wonder why most other hotel supply exactly the same kinds of fruit all the time. Exactly the same…

Hotel Eden Rome is part of the Dorchester collection. The collection also includes the famous Hotel Plaza Athenee. Yep, the Paris hotel where Carrie stayed when she decided to move to Paris with the Russian guy.
Hotel Eden Rome and the rest of the Dorchester collections are about personalities, style and characters. Here, as a guest, you find finer details within the hotel and redefinition of luxuries.
Thanks for visiting! Bye!
