Sleeveless blazers and jackets are not something new in the men’s fashion history but it neither something everyone needs for their daily wardrobe. but for currently seasons, from James Long to Jil Sander to Givenchy to Versace, designers seemed have the hint that the summer suiting is something to watch out for in the near future. If you think this maybe only the runway looks, you will have to think again after looking at the River Island and Lee pieces below.
I have heard negative feedbacks from “sleeveless look”, “sleeveless blazers”, and people seemed confused by them and waist coats. In my own opinion, waist coast is bit too formal, too old school, too classic, it is more of a going to library look, while sleeveless blazers are more of a Italian glamorous confident look or going for high fashion party look.
and I can’t tell you how much I love these Jil Sander looks ( photos below ) personally.
With oversized Poplin white short sleeves, skinny tailored pants and squared dressing shoes for a Modern Edwardian look.
Mens Blazers and Suits, especially structured and wool blended, was so far away from my lookbooks a while ago.
Since affected by this so called Bondi lifestyle after I moved back to Sydney eastern Suburbs, events and parties requiring a decent formal, yet full of charactered wardrobe. For maybe showing off tanned arms, This AUTARCH Sleeveless Blazer from George Jreige is definitely a long term investment for my wardrobe, no matter I want throw a roll-up sleeves shirt or a simple white t-shirt, it would look great either way, anyway. I call this blazer the gentlemen party survival kit.
I had never bought a sleeveless blazer before this George Jreige‘s, as for this time’s shoot with Simplymonochrome.co We were trying to find some formalness to add on to these casual black biker jeans and relaxed sneakers to blend the whole lookbook of ours, and also Sydney has been so warm lately, so I thought when all the long sleeves wont do, how about try this sleevesless blazer ! It is strongly structured and with classic check details on the shoulder, as they are Made to Measure, so I would never worry about the fittings problem.
