It is not always true when they say “you only need half a day to explore there”, such as places like Chefchaouen or Galle fort. It looked so beautiful (and so different from any other time of the day) when Lily and I went there at sunrise when the whole village was empty, and we took photos the whole morning around The Blue Pearl village untill all the tourists suddenly come afterwards. We really wished we could spent more time there, 2 days were not even enough for us to explore all the hidden laneways.
So Adam and I decided to “do it again” when we heard ” you only need a few hours there” for Galle Dutch fort.
OWL AND THE PUSSYCAT HOTEL
February 17, 2018Checking in at the Owl and The Pussycat hotel from Small Luxury Hotels Collection. The hotel is located right on the beach in Thalpe, Galle. It is extremely close to the famous gigantic beach swing and the Sea Turtle Hatchery in Galle.
This tear-drop island has been admired by many tourists worldwide but it is still an underrated travel destination. I have rounded up some of my favourite places during my Sri Lanka trip and recommend you to visit them too!
TRI LANKA HOTEL
February 11, 2018KK BEACH NEAR GALLE, SRI LANKA
February 8, 2018On the second day, we travelled to KK’s new hotel on the beach – KK Beach Hotel. It is just a short fifteen-minute drive from Kahanda Kanda Hotel, where Adam and I stayed for our first night in Sri Lanka. Located on the west side of Habaraduwa, KK beach hotel is just 12km from Galle. There is a free ‘tuk- tuk’ shuttle for guests wishing to go for lunch or dinner at Kahanda Kanda, and guests from KK Beach can of course enjoy a free shuttle service if coming to KK Beach for lunch or dinner. The underlying factors for both hotels include the overall quality of the luxury experience that is delivered and the high level of personal service offered to guests by warm and friendly staff, not to mention their constant attention to detail.
